To preserve the unique character of this historic neighborhood the Landmarks Preservation Commission created the Brooklyn Heights Historic District in 1965. Today much of Brooklyn Heights appears as it did 100 years ago, with an impressive variety of historic architectural styles represented among the handsome homes and stately churches that line the neighborhood’s tree-lined blocks. Walking the streets of Brooklyn Heights today is truly like stepping back in time to 19th century Brooklyn.
The State and Hicks Street properties are in the midst of this charming and picturesque residential community. While enjoying the neighborhood’s small town ambience--and with easy access to local restaurants, shopping venues, cultural institutions, schools, parks, and public transportation—these residences are just minutes away from downtown Manhattan |
